Ussama Bin Ajmal has a diverse work experience in project management and engineering roles. Ussama worked for Chamco as a Project Manager, overseeing the design and installation of instrument air compression and pumping systems for clients in western Canada. Ussama also conducted inspections and ensured equipment had the necessary accreditations. Prior to that, Ussama worked for ConeTec where they served as a Project Coordinator and Field Engineer. In these roles, they managed drilling and geotechnical projects, handled project logistics, and performed in-situ testing procedures on major Oil Sands sites. Ussama gained expertise in operating specialized drilling equipment and instrumentation while meeting data acquisition targets.
Ussama Bin Ajmal completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Dr. E.P Scarlett High School from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Ussama obtained various certifications and training throughout their career. These include Mine Safety and Health Administration certification from the U.S. Department of Labor in June 2020, Winter Defensive Driving certification from Driving Unlimited in January 2020, Common Safety Orientation certification from Energy Safety Canada in July 2019, Engineer In Training certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in May 2019, Engineering and Code Essentials for Pressure Equipment and Pipelines certification from the IPEIA Conference in March 2018, Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) certification from the Alberta Construction Safety Association in October 2015, Ice Rescue Technician certification from Rescue 3 International in March 2021, Practical Rigging (BC) certification from Leavitt Machinery in January 2020, Respiratory Protective Equipment certification from Advantage Learning Solutions Inc. in July 2019, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification from St. John Ambulance Canada | Ambulance Saint-Jean in July 2019, and H2S Alive certification from Energy Safety Canada.
