Ambrose Carr is a seasoned professional in computational biology and product management with extensive experience in leading scientific initiatives and developing innovative data solutions. Currently serving as Director of Product Management and Group Product Manager at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since April 2018, Ambrose leads the Single Cell Biology Technology group, focusing on the CELLxGENE application suite and the starfish project, which emphasizes standardizing data types in image-based transcriptomics. Prior roles include Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where Ambrose contributed to the Human Cell Atlas, and Graduate Research Fellow at Columbia University, where Ambrose created a proof-of-concept breast cancer immune cell atlas. Ambrose's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Biology and a Master's in Biological Sciences from Columbia University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from Princeton University.
