Fred Sisenda

Fred Sisenda is a Senior Software Engineer at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since December 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon from January 2013 to May 2021, and as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between August 2010 and May 2012. As a Teaching Assistant, Fred instructed lab and recitation sessions for Intro to Algorithms and developed automated grading systems for Programming in Python. Fred contributed to research published in the Proceedings of the World Wide Web Conference in 2012, focusing on user behavior modeling on Twitter and implementing machine learning algorithms. Fred holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Colgate University.
