Kira Evans

Kira Evans is a software engineer at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where responsibilities include developing software in the Science department since January 2019. Prior experience includes a position as a software engineering intern at the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub's Royer Lab from June to December 2018. During this internship, Kira contributed significantly as a core developer and architect of an open-source high-performance multi-dimensional image viewing, processing, and analysis tool designed to enhance accessibility within the Scientific Python ecosystem. Kira's educational background includes a former BSc candidacy in Data Science with a Biology minor at Northeastern University, and attendance at Harvey Mudd College and The Webb Schools, where Kira obtained a high school diploma.
