Michelle Hernandez is an experienced payroll and operations manager with a diverse background in payroll administration and organizational leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Payroll Manager at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since November 2017, Michelle directs payroll operations for a $100 million budget, focusing on process improvement and compliance. As Chief Operating Officer of Elektricrides/Greenzone Transportation, Michelle leads an electric transportation company in the East Bay. Previous roles include Director of Sales Marketing at OutSF and Payroll Manager at Anchor Brewing Co, where Michelle implemented cloud-based HRIS systems and managed payroll across multiple states. With a foundational education in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University, Michelle has cultivated a strong career in payroll and operational excellence.
