Michael Goto has a diverse work experience spanning several education-related roles. Michael began their career as a Social Studies Teacher in the Dysart Unified School District from 2005 to 2016. Michael then moved to the Ombudsman Educational Services, where they held various positions including High School Principal, Associate Superintendent, and Regional Vice President from 2016 to 2023. During this time, they also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Grand Canyon University from 2016 to 2019. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Enrollment & Outreach at ChanceLight Education, starting in 2023. In 2004, they briefly worked at the Isaac Elementary School District as part of the Udall Escela de Bellas Artes.

Michael Goto completed their education history as follows: they earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Arizona State University from 2001 to 2004. Later, from 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology at Grand Canyon University. Lastly, from 2015 to 2016, they obtained another Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, also from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert in 2020 and 2021, School Principal certification from the Arizona Department of Education in 2016, Google Educator certification in 2014, Microsoft Innovative Educator certification, and National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in 2013.
