Head Of Product at Change Research

Tom Swartz has a diverse work experience with a strong focus on data science and product management. Tom is currently working at Change Research as the Head of Product since May 2023. Previously, they held the position of Senior Product Manager at Change Research from July 2022 to May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Manager II at Change Research from November 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Change Research, Tom worked at Impira as a Product Manager from December 2019 to October 2021, where they drove product strategy and development for their self-service data extraction platform. Tom also worked as a Data Scientist at Impira from April 2019 to December 2019, where they led the technical aspects of machine learning projects and drove product direction using user research.

In 2020, Tom worked as a Data Analyst at the Texas Democratic Party, where they performed data analysis and developed real-time data engineering pipelines for election night results reporting.

In terms of volunteering work, Tom served as a Data Science Volunteer at Pete for America from November 2019 to February 2020, where they provided support to the state data teams. Tom also volunteered as a Data Science Volunteer at Senator Heidi Heitkamp from October 2018 to November 2018 and at Let America Vote from May 2018 to November 2018.

Tom's earlier work experience includes roles as a Data Scientist and Data Analyst Intern at Orbital Insight, Inc., a National Training Center Athlete at US Rowing, a Grant Recipient at the International Growth Centre, and an Agriculture and Nutrition Intern at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

Tom Swartz has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Yale University (2009-2013). Tom then went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) in Nature, Society, and Environmental Policy at the University of Oxford (2013-2014), followed by a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General, also at the University of Oxford (2014-2015).
