Rachel Waterman has extensive experience in operational leadership and people development within the charity and public sectors. Currently serving as Head of Development and People Development at Changing Lives Together since April 2021, Rachel focuses on nurturing a motivated and skilled workforce. Prior to this, Rachel was Director of Operations at LGBT Foundation, where exemplary service user satisfaction was maintained alongside strategic human resource initiatives. Rachel has held significant roles in organizations such as The Scout Association and Sport England, emphasizing the importance of volunteering and community engagement. With a strong background in health policy and parliamentary business while working at the UK Department of Health, along with management experience in retail, Rachel combines strategic insight with practical implementation. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of South Wales.

We improve the community's access to quality, affordable furniture. Whilst also helping vulnerable members of the community gain work-based opportunities. We support people through a variety of work, training and volunteering programmes for vulnerable, disabled and excluded members of our community. We help both people and the environment. A win-win! We also provide a variety of courses such as woodwork, preparation for employment, literacy and numeracy.
