Anya Tanyavutti

Anya Tanyavutti serves as the Executive Director of Changing Worlds since September 2022, focusing on fostering inclusive communities through the arts. In addition, Tanyavutti has been a DEI Facilitator, Curriculum Writer, and Program Planner for Next Steps for Transformation NFP since August 2017, advocating for the role of caregivers in addressing opportunity gaps in racially diverse schools. Previously, Tanyavutti led CHICAGO VOLUNTEER DOULAS INC as Executive Director from 2018 to 2022, expanding birth justice services in Illinois, and developed an innovative peer doula program at Logan Correctional Facility. Tanyavutti has also made significant contributions as a School Board Member and President of Evanston/Skokie School District 65, where leadership involved promoting racial equity policies and managing a substantial educational budget. Early career roles included strategic planning and community service leadership positions at various educational and social service organizations. Tanyavutti holds a Master's degree in Education from Western Michigan University.
