John Fang

John Fang has over 30 years of experience in pipeline management and integrity engineering across various roles in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Pipeline Manager at Channel Infrastructure NZ since October 2023, John oversees RAP pipeline operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance, while managing relationships with external stakeholders. Prior experience includes serving as South AP Senior Integrity Engineer at Mobil Oil New Zealand Ltd, where John was responsible for integrity assessments and compliance in the South AP region, and project management roles focused on pipeline operations. John has held senior engineering positions at First Gas Limited and Vector Limited, specializing in high-pressure gas pipeline integrity management and associated programs. Earlier in John's career, significant contributions were made during tenure at PetroChina, with responsibilities including project management in technology development and facility upgrades. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in oil and gas storage and transportation from Liaoning University of Petroleum and Chemical Technology.
