Mark R.

Mark R. is an accomplished leader in advanced research and technology, currently serving as the Director of the Microsystems Technology Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since April 2018, after previously holding the role of Deputy Director at the Defense Sciences Office. With extensive experience at Raytheon from April 2011 to March 2018 as a Principal Engineering Fellow, Mark was instrumental in developing RF and EO strategic technologies and directly engaging with government customers. Earlier roles include Program Manager and Deputy Director at DARPA and Research Program Director at Rockwell Scientific. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University and a BS in Physics from the California Institute of Technology, where Mark was also a Postdoctoral Fellow.
