Victor Konwea

Victor Konwea has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and organizations. Victor currently holds the role of Head of Risk at Chapel Hill Denham since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at SunTrust Bank Nigeria Ltd from 2019 to 2023, where they led a team focused on reducing losses from failed processes and facilitated the implementation of risk management initiatives. Victor also implemented the bank's Environmental & Social Risk Management System. In 2019, Victor was the Team Lead for Operational Risk Analysis & Profiling at Access Bank Plc. Victor prepared monthly reports, conducted Risk & Control Self-Assessments, and monitored key risks. Before that, they worked at Diamond Bank Plc for an extended period, starting in 2006. Victor held various roles, including Team Lead for Operational Risk Analysis & Profiling and Environmental & Social Risk Management. Victor played a significant role in the bank's Enterprise-wide Risk Management Project and facilitated the implementation of over 1000 risk management initiatives. Additionally, they were involved in the bank's Credit Reference Company implementation. Their earliest experience was as a Design Engineer at Mitsui Kinzoku Automotive Components Japan from 2001 to 2003.

Victor Konwea holds a Master's degree in Risk Management from the University of Southampton, which they obtained from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, attending from 1996 to 2000. Victor also attended Kings College Lagos from 1991 to 1996, but the degree and field of study are undisclosed. In terms of certifications, they hold the ISO 22301 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor certifications from PECB, obtained in 2021 and 2016 respectively. Additionally, they possess the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from PECB, acquired in 2018.
