Group HR at Chapman Freeborn

Jane Hossack has been with Chapman Freeborn Airchartering for over 10 years, and is currently the Group Head of HR. In this role, they lead the People team and develops the people strategy across a global remit. Jane also business partners with the board of directors, senior leaders and hiring managers on people initiatives.

Jane has designed and implemented a robust and creative people strategy that supports the overall company agenda and provides return on investment. Jane oversees Human Resources functions in the UK, US, Germany, Spain, Australia, Asia, India, South Africa and the UAE. Additionally, they manage department budgets for training, recruitment and staff wellbeing.

In their day-to-day management of the HR team, Jane is responsible for developing high performers and motivating the team to achieve department objectives. Jane also guides the management on a wide range of employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances and organisational restructures (such as TUPE, mergers and acquisitions).

In addition to their work with the HR team, Jane also works with the recruitment team to create a clear and effective recruitment strategy, including attracting top talent and reducing recruitment costs. Jane also works with the HR / management teams to create a robust performance management strategy, building performance accountability into all levels of the process and creating a strength-based culture.

Jane has also developed a training agenda to support company performance, career development and succession planning. Jane monitors staff engagement, to support continuous

Jane Hossack has a Masters level in Human Resources Management and Services from MCIPD Qualification - Level 7. Jane also has a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Northampton. Lastly, they have a CPCAB in Counselling from Introduction to Counselling Skills (CPCAB).
