Pierre Van Der Stichele

Pierre Van Der Stichele is the Group Director of Cargo Operations at Chapman Freeborn. Pierre has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, specializing in cargo operations.

Pierre started their career in aviation with Southern Air Inc. in 1993 as a Charter Sales Representative. Pierre then moved to ANTONOV Airlines in 1996, where they worked as a Commercial Executive for three years. In 1999, Pierre joined Evergreen International Airlines as the Director of Sales Europe, and they remained with the company for three years.

In 2002, Pierre joined Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, where they have worked for the past 18 years. During their time with Chapman Freeborn, Pierre has held various positions, including Group Director of Cargo Operations and Managing Director of Chapman Freeborn Italia/Spain. Pierre has been instrumental in growing Chapman Freeborn’s cargo business worldwide and has extensive experience in managing wetlease contracts, arranging cargo charters, and handling industrial loads. Pierre has also played a key role in Chapman Freeborn’s support of the aerospace and automotive industries, the military sector, and the oil and gas industry.

Pierre Van Der Stichele has a Bsc in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and has also attended St George’s English School in Rome.

They are on a team with Mark Payne - ACMI & Leasing Manager, Catriona Taylor - Group Passenger Operations Director, and Carol Carini - Group Marketing Brand Manager. Pierre Van Der Stichele reports to Neil Dursley, CCO.
