Melanie Hayes

Melanie Hayes has extensive legal experience, currently serving as a Senior Associate at Chapman Tripp since September 2017, after holding several positions including Associate at Webb Farry Lawyers from November 2010 to September 2017 and Senior Solicitor at Chapman Tripp from March 2007 to December 2010. Prior to these roles, Melanie worked as an Examiner at The Insolvency Service from 2005 to 2006, investigating bankrupt individuals and their financial conduct. Melanie's early career includes serving as an Associate at AWS Legal from 2001 to 2005, where responsibilities included appearing in court and managing numerous litigation files. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Otago, completed between 1997 and 2001, and previously attended James Hargest High School from 1992 to 1996.
