Ashley Marks

Ashley Marks has extensive work experience in the field of speech-language pathology. Ashley has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist at the Irvine Unified School District from November 2013 to November 2021, where they managed a caseload of over 55 students and provided research-based therapeutic intervention to maximize their learning potential. In addition, they collaborated with the special education team, school staff, parents, and other service providers to ensure continuous support for students with speech-related difficulties. Ashley also worked as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center from February 2013 to August 2016, conducting evaluations and providing individual therapy to adults with communication impairments caused by neurological injury. Ashley briefly served as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) at Irvine Public Schools Foundation from June 2021 to July 2021. Currently, Ashley is the Director of Clinical Education at Chapman University, a position they started in December 2021, where they oversee the clinical education component of the Communication Sciences & Disorders graduate program. Ashley works collaboratively to ensure the program's success. Prior to their current role, Ashley worked as a Speech Language Pathologist at CHOC Children's from February 2013 to May 2013, where they delivered individual pediatric feeding therapy and established treatment goals based on the patient's needs. Ashley conducted continuous evaluations to track progress towards goals.

Ashley Marks earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from California State University San Marcos in 2006. Ashley later completed a Pre-Speech Post Baccalaureate Program at La Salle University in 2010. From 2011 to 2013, Ashley pursued a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Chapman University. In 2020, they attended the Orange County Department of Education to pursue a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.
