Director Of Client Services at Chapman University

Barron Williams has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Barron started their career at Otis College of Art and Design, where they served as a Specialist and later a Supervisor in the MIS Help Desk department. During their time there, they implemented the first Windows server domain and brought email services in-house. Barron also managed the Help Desk support team, ensuring 24x7 uptime.

After that, Barron joined Guardians of Love, FFA as an IT Manager on a consultant basis. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Windows Server, Exchange, and virtualization infrastructure. Barron also oversaw the planning and implementation of hardware appliance installations and upgrades.

Later on, Barron joined Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management, where they held two different managerial roles. As the Manager of eLearning Technical Support, they managed the adoption of eLearning technology and provided LMS course design and customization. In their role as the Manager of Technology Support, they oversaw technology collaboration and customer service, championed standardization and efficiency, and developed project lifecycle support models.

In 2003, Barron founded their own company, Absolute Computing, Inc. As a Founder and Consultant, they specialized in enhancing business continuity through the use of technology. Barron served clients in a project manager/business analyst role, partnering with major telco and data vendors to design and implement network server solutions.

Their most recent role is as the Director of Client Services at Chapman University, where they are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and staffing of the Desktop Services and Service Desk units. Barron provides leadership to multiple teams and ensures high-performance client service to exceed expectations.

Throughout their career, Barron has demonstrated expertise in technical support, project management, training, and team leadership.

Barron Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from DeVry University in 2002. Later, in 2010-2011, they pursued an MBA at the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Subsequently, from 2013 to 2016, they attended California State University, Long Beach, where they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus in Public Administration. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Agile Scrum Master (ASM), ITIL Foundation (2011), KCS Foundation, and CompTIA A.
