Kiran Shah

Kiran Shah is the Joint Managing Director and Group Finance Director at Character Group. Prior to this, they worked at Deutsche Bank from November 2015 to May 2022, where they were the Business Functional Analyst Manager, CCO Data Quality Management, Chief Data Office (CDO). In this role, they were responsible for defining the requirements for Risk, Finance and Treasury for the Data Quality Management (DQM) controls to be built into CCO (Capital, Controls and Operations). This included high- and low-level process diagrams, designing framework for Key Operating Procedures, RACI and sign off from producers and consumers. Kiran also documented build requirements for Exception Management process and ensured they were booked in JIRA, prioritised and testing of delivery. In addition, they provided requirements for timeliness and metrics reporting, and prepared papers for monthly CCO DQM Forum (producers and consumers) and wrote minutes. Kiran was also the Information Security Officer for CDO applications, including analysis of monthly information security issues, liaising with technology officers and ensuring all open issues were closed on a timely basis. Kiran managed a team of 2 people, including objectives setting, appraisals and regular 1-1’s.

Kiran Shah completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accountancy at the City of London Polytechnic.
