Ashley Insong

Ashley Insong is an experienced educator and writer with a multifaceted background. Currently serving as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher at Austin Achieve Public Schools, Ashley develops engaging and culturally responsive materials for a predominantly Hispanic student body. In parallel, Ashley contributes to Hawaii Home + Remodeling Magazine and Character Media, creating compelling narratives that highlight design trends and promote Asian American representation in media. Previous roles include teaching English as a Second Language with Teach For America and working as a content writer for various organizations. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Creative Writing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, alongside two Associate’s degrees from Leeward Community College in Elementary Education and Liberal Arts.
