In 2015, they worked as a CFD Aerodynamics Engineer at AV FORMULA, where they specialized in tasks such as Gurney flap CAD design and ground effect study.
In 2016, Jose worked as a Design Engineer at Roborace, where they gained valuable experience in CAD design and systems packaging for non-conventional layouts. Jose also interacted with various renowned companies in the industry. Later that year, they joined Manor Racing as a Mechanical Design Engineer, responsible for designing setup equipment and other necessary components for F1 racing. Jose then briefly worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Xtrac Ltd, focusing on design updates for the WRC FIA Championship gearbox program.

Jose Martinez Garcia has a strong educational background in engineering. Jose obtained their Master of Science (MSc) in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their degrees, Jose also holds certification in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), which they obtained from the British Council in March 2014 with a score of 7 out of 9.
