Aleksey Gorbashev 🇺🇦

Aleksey Gorbashev has a strong background in finance, with experience in various roles and industries. In 2003, they started their career as a Valuation Analyst at CoStar Group, where they focused on commercial real estate. Aleksey then moved to PwC in 2004, working as a Manager in M&A Advisory Real Estate until 2010. At PwC, they gained expertise in real estate transactions.

Following this, Gorbashev joined Siemens in 2010 as a Senior Manager in Finance, specializing in M&A and turn-key projects. Aleksey worked there until 2015, further developing their skills in financial management and project coordination.

In 2015, Gorbashev became the Head of Finance at Global Savings Group (GSG), an e-commerce company backed by venture capital firms. During their time at GSG, they built the finance and operational team and oversaw the company's growth from €3M to €33M in annual revenues within three years. Additionally, they managed debt and equity finance raising, M&A integration, and built consolidated IFRS accounts for international expansion.

In 2018, Gorbashev took on the role of Finance Director at Propertybase, a real estate CRM and marketing software provider. Aleksey played a key role in the company's growth through organic expansion and several acquisitions.

Later in 2018, Gorbashev joined ChargePoint as the Head of Finance for Europe, where they focused on strategic projects such as M&A deals, expansion strategies, and product development. Aleksey also set up and managed the finance function for the European market, including tax structuring and building processes.

Aleksey Gorbashev initially pursued their education at Lviv School No. 56, where they completed technical translation, technical writing, and guide-interpreter courses (English-Ukrainian) in 1994-1995. Afterward, they enrolled at Lviv Polytechnic National University and studied computer engineering from 1995 to 1997, completing two years of the program.

Later, they embarked on further academic pursuits by attending the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program from 2008 to 2011.
