VP of field Operations at Chargie

Sheldon Waby has a diverse background in the electrical industry, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Sheldon started their career as an Apprentice Electrician at Zasco Electrical Pty Ltd, where they gained valuable experience in troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Sheldon then worked as an Electrical Contractor, providing electrical services, maintenance, installations, and repairs for residential and commercial projects in Western Australia.

In 2016, Waby joined Fouts Electric as an Electrical Foreman, where they led the installation of electrical infrastructure for ground-up construction projects and managed repairs and improvements to existing electrical installations in Southern California. Sheldon also successfully completed a tenant improvement project at a major Cardiovascular Hospital and rehabilitation facility.

Waby then joined PCS Energy in 2017, initially as an Assistant Project Manager. In this role, they conducted post-project reviews and performed independent research and competitive analysis in the electric vehicle charger industry. Sheldon later became a Project Manager, overseeing multiple ongoing projects and evaluating the feasibility of electric vehicle charger installations in multifamily apartment buildings. Waby also obtained Chargepoint certification during their time at PCS Energy.

In 2020, Waby was promoted to the role of Vice President of Construction at PCS Energy, where they became C-10 certified as an electrical contractor and assisted with the company's expansion into various regions in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Sheldon managed multiple departments, including engineering, network operations, and electrical installation.

Currently, Waby is working at Chargie as the VP of Field Operations. Sheldon joined the company in 2021 and has taken up additional leadership responsibilities. As VP of Operations, they coordinated and managed the installation of over 10,000 electric vehicle chargers in commercial buildings, multifamily communities, and parking structures. Sheldon also led a team of more than 40 individuals, including project managers, subcontractors, engineers, technicians, and warehouse teams. Additionally, Waby sourced electrical engineering vendors across multiple states and developed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.

In 2023, Waby's role at Chargie shifted to Vice President of Engineering, where they provided EVITP certification to the company and maintained RME responsibility. Sheldon sourced electrical engineering vendors across several states and managed an in-house engineering team. Waby also developed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure efficient resource utilization.

Overall, Sheldon Waby has demonstrated strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the electrical industry, and a proven track record of successfully managing and executing projects in the electric vehicle charger sector.

Sheldon Waby attended Polytechnic West from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Electrotechnology with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications. In addition to their formal education, Sheldon has obtained several certifications to enhance their skillset. In April 2020, they completed the EVITP program from The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program. Later in the same year, in February, they earned the c 10 electrical license from the Contractors State License Board. Their most recent certification, the Scrum Master Certified (SMC), was obtained in May 2022 from the Six Sigma Global Institute.
