Ernest Ryder

Sir Ernest had a distinguished career in the United Kingdom Judiciary, as Senior President of Tribunals and a Lord Justice of Appeal. As Senior President of Tribunals for the UK, he leads the largest specialist part of the judicial system, with more than 5,500 judicial office holders working across the four different legal jurisdictions of the UK.

Sir Ernest is currently Master of Pembroke College, University of Oxford, a Trustee of the Nuffield Foundation and a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, and previously served as Chancellor of the University of Bolton.
