Angus Stead

Academic Lead - Social Work Field Education at Charles Darwin University

Angus Stead has a diverse work experience in the fields of social work and mental health. Angus has held roles such as Specialist Mental Health Social Worker at Central Australia Health Service, Senior Mental Health Clinician at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, and Senior Social Worker at Northern Territory Government. Angus'sexperience also includes leadership positions such as Acting/Team Leader at Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service. Currently, Angus serves as an Academic Lead for the Social Work Field Education at Charles Darwin University.

Angus Stead completed their High School Certificate at Billabong High School in 2009. Angus then pursued a Bachelor of Social Work at Charles Sturt University from 2010 to 2015. In 2017, they obtained a Diploma in Leadership and Management from TAFE NSW. Most recently, they earned a Master's degree in Mental Health from Southern Cross University in 2022. Additionally, in the same year, they became a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor through Mental Health First Aid® Australia.
