Steve Rogers is an accomplished academic and executive with extensive experience in research and innovation leadership roles. Currently serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & Innovation at Charles Darwin University since January 2020, Steve has previously held multiple directorships, including Director at Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC) and TerritoryNRM. Notably, Steve was the Managing Director of CfAT Satellite Enterprises Pty Ltd, overseeing the construction of a satellite ground station in partnership with Viasat Inc and Indigenous Business Australia. Steve's earlier leadership roles include CEO of The Centre for Appropriate Technology Limited and Science and Business Leader for the Australian Institute of Marine Science. An alumnus of the University of Kent with a PhD in Microbiology, Steve possesses a robust academic background, including degrees in Environmental Technology and Environmental Studies.
