Hilary Ryan has a diverse range of work experience in the non-profit sector. Hilary began their career as a Residential Director at Misericordia Heart of Mercy from 2001 to 2006. Hilary then joined The Charles River Center (formerly Charles River Arc) in 2006 as the Vice President of Therapeutic Day Services, where they oversaw departmental operations and collaborated with internal teams and external stakeholders. In 2011, they transitioned to the role of Development Associate at Charles River Center, where they played a crucial role in development and fundraising initiatives, including coordinating special events and grant writing. Hilary has been serving as the Vice President of Development since 2014, leading strategic planning, donor relations, and research for major gift prospects at the Charles River Center. Throughout their career, Hilary has demonstrated a strong commitment to organizational objectives and fostering collaborative relationships within the non-profit sector.
Hilary Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Indiana University Bloomington between 1993 and 1997.

The Charles River Center is a private, nonprofit human service agency headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, providing employment and job training, residential homes, day habilitation, and recreational programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. Founded by a group of parents of children with special needs in 1956, the mission of Charles River has always been to improve the quality of life by helping each individual with a developmental disability achieve his or her highest possible level of independence so that he or she can fully participate, benefit, and become a contributing member of the community. The Charles River Center serves over 950 families from many communities including Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Newton, Dedham, Cambridge, Brighton, Brookline, Framingham, Natick, Westwood, Dover, Waltham, Roslindale, Hyde Park, Roxbury, Watertown, Quincy, Norwood, West Roxbury and many more.
