Matt Colvin has a diverse work experience that spans over many fields. Their most recent position was as the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Team Rubicon, where they helped mobilize veterans to aid in disaster response and humanitarian crises. Before that, they worked as an Independent Consultant at Cause Solutions, where they worked with various companies and nonprofits to align their Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing initiatives with cause.

Matt also has experience in the business sector, as they were a Co-Owner of Bustin Boards Custom Longboards and later became the Director of Sales and Operations. During their time at Bustin Boards, they significantly grew revenue, expanded product distribution, and improved production efficiency.

Additionally, Matt held positions at CauseEngine as the VP of Partnerships and at Adaptive Action Sports as the Director of Development. Matt also worked at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), where they held multiple roles in Strategic Partnerships, expanding corporate partnerships and leading successful marketing campaigns.

Matt's early career experiences include serving as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist in the United States Air Force, working as a Printing Press Assistant at Phoenix Color, and being a Sales Representative at Nike.

Matt Colvin has a diverse education history. Matt earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, Jersey City Campus in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they completed military training at Pensacola Naval Air Station's Water Survival School in 2003. In the same year, they also underwent training in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE). Before that, in 2002, Colvin received military training in Cryptology at Goodfellow Air Force Base. In 2001-2002, they pursued linguistics studies at the Defense Language Institute as part of their military training. Lastly, Colvin obtained an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Hagerstown Community College in 1999-2000.
