Bala Ponnusamy

Bala Ponnusamy is an experienced professional in product development and management, currently serving as the Director of Product Development at Charles Schwab since March 2006. With a track record in the Treasury & Securities Finance Group, Bala has effectively bridged business and technology, managing teams and leading significant initiatives, including the creation of the Securities Lending Fully Paid application, which has generated $200M in profit since 2010. Prior to this, Bala held roles including Senior Product Development Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing application integration and managing development teams, and Senior Implementation Consultant at Systems Integration Solutions, focusing on cross-platform process automation. Bala holds an MBA from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
