Substitute Double Bassist at Charleston Symphony Orchestra

Dorian Jackman is an accomplished double bassist currently serving as a substitute for multiple orchestras, including Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Charlotte Symphony, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Dorian held a section double bassist position with Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra from August 2012 to August 2023. Additionally, Dorian is a cello teaching artist at 18 Degrees Family Services for Western Massachusetts, focusing on pre-college students in the El Sistema inspired program Kids 4 Harmony. Dorian's educational background includes a Doctor of Music and a Master of Music in Double Bass Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, along with a Bachelor of Music from Illinois State University.
