Academy Associate Director - Upper School at Charlotte Ballet

Kati Hanlon Mayo is an Academy Artistic Coordinator and Advanced Level Instructor at Charlotte Ballet Academy. Kati has also served as an Interim Vice Principal at the Chautauqua Institute. With a background as a principal dancer in various ballet companies, Mayo brings over three decades of experience to their roles. Kati holds a degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and Dance for Parkinson's Disease instruction.

Charlotte Ballet

Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. The company’s professional dancers annually present performances in Charlotte, N.C., during a season spanning from October to May. Hope Muir has served as Artistic Director since 2017. Charlotte Ballet Academy trains 700 students annually and the company has nationally recognized educational and community programs. Charlotte Ballet operates the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance in uptown Charlotte.
