Charlotte Ballet
Mavis Scully is a highly experienced Teaching Artist and Private Coach in the field of acting and dance. Mavis has worked with various companies over the years, including Charlotte Ballet, Children's Theatre of Charlotte, and Eagles' Wings Studio, where Mavis has taught acting, dance, and choreography. With a BFA in Acting and Dance from the University of the Arts, Mavis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their students in preparing them for auditions and performances.
Charlotte Ballet
Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. The company’s professional dancers annually present performances in Charlotte, N.C., during a season spanning from October to May. Hope Muir has served as Artistic Director since 2017. Charlotte Ballet Academy trains 700 students annually and the company has nationally recognized educational and community programs. Charlotte Ballet operates the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance in uptown Charlotte.
