Kent Obieze is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in sports coaching, personal training, and behavioral health support. Currently serving as a Soccer Coach for Charlotte Independence since April 2023, Kent also operates Obieze Fitness LLC as a Certified Personal Trainer and Youth Fitness Coach. Co-founding the Kapel Soccer Foundation in February 2020 showcases a commitment to community engagement. In addition, Kent has been a Behavioral Health Associate at Rebound Behavioral Health Hospital since May 2018, where responsibilities include providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Previous roles include Team Lead and Residential Counselor at New Hope Treatment Centers Inc, as well as an internship in Marketing and Public Relations at Piedmont Medical Center. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Winthrop University, and an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology from York Technical College.

Charlotte Independence
New ownership acquired the USL franchise rights for Charlotte, NC in 2014 and began play on March 27, 2015 under a new team name: Charlotte Independence. Sights are set on moving Uptown to a revitalized American Legion Memorial Stadium in 2021. In the meantime, the team is proud to call the Sportsplex at Matthews home. Let's Ride!
