David Robinson

Deputy Chief David Robinson joined the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department as a member of the 122nd recruit class of 1996. He was promoted to his current rank in 2020.

As the Deputy Chief for Patrol Services Group, he oversees the Patrol Divisions, Airport Law Enforcement and Operations Command. Major Brian Foley commands the Patrol North Division, which includes Freedom, North, University City and North Tryon Divisions. Major Cecil Brisbon commands the Patrol South Division, which includes South, Providence, Independence, Hickory Grove, and Eastway Divisions. Major Jacquelyn Bryley commands the Patrol Central Divisions, which includes Central, Westover, Steele Creek and Metro Divisions.​
