Cody Davis

Cody Davis currently serves as Associate General Counsel at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Cody worked as a Medical Appeals Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina from June 2021 to January 2023, representing clients in various legal matters related to Medicaid, Social Security, and food stamp benefits. Responsibilities included drafting legal documents, conducting oral arguments, and providing community education on Medicaid issues. Additional experience includes positions as Intake Attorney, Fellow at the UNC School of Government, Program Evaluator/Legal Analyst for the North Carolina General Assembly, and various roles during law school, emphasizing legal representation, legislative analysis, and community engagement. Cody holds a Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law, alongside a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Philosophy, and Criminology from North Carolina State University.
