Dana Harris

Dana Harris is an experienced mathematics educator with a robust background in teaching and academic leadership. Currently serving as a High School Mathematics Teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since August 2022, Dana supports K-5 teachers in mathematics instruction. Dana also holds the position of Chief Academic Officer at Young Gurus Math Tutoring, focusing on enhancing proficiency for middle and high school students in mathematics since January 2010. Previous roles include Independent Studies Supervising Teacher at Green Dot Public Schools California, Mathematics Teacher at Oakland Unified School District and Hoke County Schools, Upper Level Mathematics Content Specialist at Measurement Incorporated, and Adult Education Instructor for Mathematics at Robeson Community College. Dana earned a BS in Mathematics from Fayetteville State University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University.
