Jarelle Lewis

Jarelle Lewis, Esq. serves as the Executive Director of Employee Relations at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since July 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in educational administration and legal compliance. Previously, Jarelle held key positions at New Hanover County Schools, including Title IX Coordinator and Executive Director of Human Resources, where responsibilities included developing policies and overseeing investigations related to Title IX. Jarelle's extensive background also includes a role as Legal Consultant at Dickinson State University, addressing legal compliance across various areas, including Title IX and employment discrimination. Jarelle's legal foundation was established through experiences as a Certified Legal Intern at multiple esteemed law clinics and the Wake County Public Defender's Office, complemented by a Doctor of Law degree from North Carolina Central University.
