Marquay S.

MarQuay S. is currently a Student Teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, participating in a year-long internship that began in September 2024. Previously, MarQuay served as a HS Summer Academy Teacher at Student U for the summers of 2023 and 2024 and held the role of Middle School Advocate as part of the Teach For America Ignite Fellowship from September 2022 to May 2024. Additional experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow, Desk Assistant, and Eagle Ambassador at North Carolina Central University from January 2020 to May 2024, as well as a Teaching Fellow and 8th Grade ELA Department Head at Breakthrough Houston in the summers of 2021 and 2022. MarQuay holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from North Carolina Central University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
