Jeffrey Mason is an accomplished research professional with extensive experience in drafting model laws and regulatory reform recommendations for special economic zones and new cities in various countries, including The Bahamas, Kenya, and Nigeria. As the Head of Research at Charter Cities Institute since May 2019, Jeffrey has led the Research team in strategy development, budget management, and technical assistance projects, securing over $360,000 in grant funding and authoring key publications on urban governance and planning. Prior roles include Governance Consultant at Politas Consulting and various positions at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and the Bipartisan Policy Center. Jeffrey holds a Master's Degree in Economics from George Mason University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.
