Amy Dampney began their work experience in 2009 as an Assistant Manager at Ferrier Hodgson. Amy stayed in this role until June 2014. From June 2014 to March 2015, they worked as a Business Planning & Performance Analyst at CIMIC Group Limited. In March 2015, they joined Charter Hall as a Financial Analyst and stayed in this role until June 2017. From July 2017 to September 2018, they served as the Product Lead for Fund Budgeting & Forecasting at Charter Hall. Following this, they worked as a Fund Analyst at Charter Hall from September 2018 to May 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Fund Analyst at Charter Hall, starting in May 2023.

Amy Dampney's education history begins with their completion of the Higher School Certificate at Pymble Ladies' College from 1997 to 2004. Following this, they attended the University of Technology Sydney from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business with a focus on international business, business law, and human resources management. In 2009, Amy Dampney pursued a Graduate Certificate of Chartered Accounting Foundations at Deakin University.

Amy furthered their education by pursuing a GradDipCA in Accounting at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they also obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the same institution in November 2010.

Additionally, Amy Dampney obtained the Best Practice Project Finance Modelling certification from Corality Financial Modelling in August 2015.
