Derek Blackford

Derek Blackford has a diverse work experience in financial planning and analysis, finance operations, and business process improvement. Derek is currently working as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Charter Manufacturing. Previously, they served as the Sr. Director Finance & Operations and the Senior Director Finance Retail & Outfitters at Lands' End. Derek was also the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Lands' End, where they played a key role in spinning the company into a stand-alone public firm. Prior to that, Derek worked as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Erickson Air-Crane, Inc. and held various finance roles at Columbia Sportswear, including Finance Manager and Financial Analyst. Derek'saccomplishments include leading strategic initiatives, directing financial planning activities, and implementing financial reporting and analysis systems.

Derek Blackford obtained a Certificate in Business Excellence in the CFO Program from Columbia Business School in 2022. Derek also obtained additional certifications in various fields such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Advanced Value Investing, and Corporate Governance from Columbia Business School Executive Education in the same year.

Prior to that, Derek Blackford earned an M.B.A. degree in Business from Oregon State University from 2002 to 2003. Before pursuing their M.B.A., they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Oregon State University, studying from 1997 to 2001.

Earlier in their education, Derek Blackford obtained a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Portland State University. Although the start year for this degree is unspecified, it is known that they completed it by 2013.

In addition to their academic achievements, Derek Blackford also holds the professional certification of Certified Public Accountant, which they obtained from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in November 2015.
