Carla Way

Carla Way has extensive experience in program and project management. Carla is currently the Vice President of Technology at Charter One, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at USAA as the Director of Program/Project Management from 2021 to 2023, where they led a team supporting the Claims organization. Before that, they were a Program Manager at JLL from 2020 to 2021, responsible for a portfolio of globally impacted projects and driving process adoption. Carla also worked at BMO Harris Bank as a Portfolio Delivery Manager from 2016 to 2020, overseeing program and project managers within the P&C US IT portfolio. At Capco, they held the position of Principal Consultant from 2014 to 2016, leading a large-scale FCC/AML team. Carla began their career at HSBC in 2003, managing ongoing compliance and risk initiatives, as well as global IT transformation projects. Carla's early experience includes a program management role at Sun Microsystems from 1992 to 2002.

Carla Way has a diverse education history. In 1981-1984, they attended Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center, where they earned a Vocational Certificate with an emphasis in Business. Years later, in 2003-2005, Carla attended Villanova University and obtained a Masters Certificate in Project Management.

In 2019-2020, Carla pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Western Governors University, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Building on their bachelor's degree, they furthered their education at the same institution in 2021, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Business Administration and Management.

Carla also holds additional certifications to enhance their professional skills and expertise. In 2005, they became a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. In 2020, Carla obtained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
