Sharon Denson has over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management in both the public and private sectors. Sharon is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Charter School Business Management Inc., where they specialize in financial policies and procedures, audit preparation, and management company transitions. Prior to joining CSBM, they worked as the Deputy Director of Budget, Finance & Operations at Nassau County Office of Economic Development. Sharon has also held positions as Controller at DOAR Litigation Consulting, CPA/Business Manager when self-employed, Marketing Analysis Manager and Senior Financial at Time Life, Inc., and Senior Financial Auditor at McGraw-Hill, Inc. Sharon started their career as a Senior Staff Auditor at Spicer & Oppenheim, CPAs. Sharon earned their Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Howard University in Washington, DC.

Sharon Denson obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Howard University in 1984. Sharon also has several certifications, including Chartered Global Management Accountant from AICPA obtained in June 2014, Economic Development Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council obtained in 2008, and Certified Public Accountant from AICPA obtained in 1986.
