Jean de la Mata

Jean De la Mata has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jean started their career as an Associate, Latin American Research at Bankers Trust in 1993 and worked there until 1996. In 1998, they became a Financial Project Supervisor at SC Johnson before moving on to McKinsey & Company as a Practice Knowledge Specialist, Retail Operations from 1999 to 2001. In 2008, they joined Charles Schwab as a Licensed Brokerage Representative for a year.

De la Mata then transitioned into the education sector, working at Denver Public Schools as a Manager in the Office of School Reform and Innovation from 2010 to 2011. Jean then joined the Colorado Education Initiative as a Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness from 2011 to 2014.

Returning to Denver Public Schools, De la Mata became an Associate Director of Organizational Excellence in the Academic and Innovation Office from 2014 to 2016. Jean then joined the Charter School Growth Fund, where they held multiple positions including Director of Talent in 2018, Vice President of Talent and Administration from 2019 to 2021, and currently serves as the Vice President of Project Management since 2022.

Jean De la Mata has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Princeton University. Jean also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus in Finance, General from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Additionally, Jean De la Mata has obtained the certification of Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institutute.
