Alastair McCapra serves as the Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) since November 2013, where notable achievements include achieving Certified Carbon Neutral status and making CIPR the first UK professional body to obtain the National Equality Standard. Under McCapra's leadership, the organization underwent significant transformation, including becoming a virtual entity and tripling participation in Continuing Professional Development. Prior to CIPR, McCapra was the Chief Executive of the Landscape Institute, successfully turning a major loss into annual surplus and spearheading the introduction of Building Information Modelling.
