Alana Jacque has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Alana started their career as a Human Resources Intern at the National Petroleum Marketing Company in 2005. Alana then worked as a Student Assistant in Undergraduate Recruitment at Carleton University before becoming an Assistant to the International Exchange Programme Coordinator and International Student Officer at the same university.
In 2008, Alana joined the Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Development Company as a Destination Information Services Coordinator in the Marketing Department. Their responsibilities included providing customer service in French and coordinating projects and events.
From 2010 to 2011, Alana worked at UTZ Certified as a Consultant and later as an Intern, providing traceability support and overseeing off-site staff. Alana also handled customer service, administrative tasks, and created training materials and reports.
Alana joined the U.S. Department of State in 2012 as a Cultural Affairs Assistant in the Public Affairs Section. In this role, they managed discretionary funding, conducted cultural exchange programs, and oversaw grant management and financial matters. Alana also provided training to colleagues and played a role in strategic planning.
At the World Resources Institute from 2016 to 2017, Alana served as a Project Coordinator II in the Climate Resilience Practice, Governance Center. Alana managed climate adaptation contracts and grants, handled internal and external communications, and coordinated messaging to a database of contacts.
From 2017 to 2019, Alana worked at the Enough Project as a Development Officer. From 2020 to the present, Alana has been working at Chartis Federal as a Quality Manager. Alana ensures compliance with ISO standards, manages the company's quality and information security management systems, and assists with internal and external ISO auditing activities.
Prior to their current role, Alana worked at Chartis Federal from 2020 to 2022 as a Proposal Specialist. Alana managed the bid and proposal process for a systems engineering and integration firm, working closely with various teams to respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Throughout their career, Alana has demonstrated strong project management, grant management, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality results.
