Matt Keene

Matt Keene is a seasoned executive compensation professional with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Managing Director of Executive Compensation at Chartwell Financial Advisory, Inc. since July 2014, Matt focuses on developing compensation philosophies, benchmarking bonus programs, and advising on corporate transactions involving ESOPs. Previously, Matt held the position of Vice President-Consulting at Principal Financial Group from 2004 to June 2014, where the focus was on executive compensation and ESOP administration. Early career experience includes a role as Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, contributing to the National Tax Department and the national ESOP team, along with a managerial position specializing in taxation of compensation and benefit programs. Matt holds a Master of Accounting degree from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, earned between 1987 and 1992.
