Senior Creative Designer at Chatpay

Mateus Rila has a diverse and well-rounded work experience in the field of design and creativity. Mateus'smost recent position at Hubla allowed him to establish himself as a creative designer, where they tackled the challenging task of rebranding the company and building a design team from scratch. Mateus'sresponsibilities ranged from brand identity to UI and product design, showcasing their versatility and ability to adapt to an ever-evolving environment.

Prior to that, Mateus worked as a creative producer at Gomus, where they combined their passion for music and branding. Mateus curated music for major retail and service brands, created and updated playlists for numerous points of sale, and produced concept presentations and activations related to music.

Mateus also founded their own creative studio called Cangu Studio, where they collaborated with two friends on design and branding projects for freelance clients. This experience allowed him to apply their creative vision, coupled with their knowledge from college and previous work experiences.

Furthermore, Mateus gained valuable skills as an art direction intern at J. Walter Thompson Brasil, where they were involved in the entire campaign process, including digital, print, social media, and photography and video production. Mateus worked on accounts such as Lojas Pernambucanas and Shell.

Mateus's career journey started as a student member at Incubadora IRIS, a project focused on developing innovative applications and ideas. There, they gained comprehensive knowledge in project management, design thinking, UI, and UX.

Mateus also contributed as a collaborator at Agência de Comunicações ECA Jr., where they played a role in the promotion of the "3rd University Tourism Challenge" by conducting audience research, conceptualizing, and animating a promotional short film.

Throughout their career, Mateus Rila has demonstrated adaptability, creativity, and a passion for design, branding, and music.

Mateus Rila attended Colégio Agostiniano Mendel from 2013 to 2015, where they completed their Ensino Médio (High School) education. In 2016, they enrolled at USP - Universidade de São Paulo and pursued a degree in Comunicação Social: Publicidade & Propaganda, specializing in the field of Comunicação. Mateus completed their undergraduate studies in 2020. Mateus also obtained several certifications, including Advanced English Proficiency from Cultura Inglesa, Auto Layout Playground from Figma, Contemporary Brand Identity: Using Verbal and Visual Branding, Design of Graphic Elements to Boost Your Brand from Domestika, Google UX Design Certificate from Coursera, and Presentation Design: Create a Professional Template from Domestika.
