Alex McGrath

Academy Coach at Chattanooga Football Club

Alex McGrath has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They started their career in 2013 as a Cricket Coach at Durham Cricket Grassroots, where they worked until 2015. In 2015, they also worked as a Warehouse Operative at Crafter's Companion Limited for a short period.

Alex then went on to become a Football and Cricket Player at Durham University from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they also played football and cricket for the university.

In 2018, they joined Appalachian State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, working until 2020. At the university, they also played soccer.

In 2020, they transitioned to High Country Soccer, where they worked as a Soccer Coach until 2021.

In 2021, Alex joined Stumptown AC as a Professional Athlete until November of that year.

Currently, they are employed at Chattanooga Football Club, starting in 2022. They hold the positions of Professional Athlete and Academy Coach.

Alex McGrath completed their GCSEs at Spennymoor Comprehensive School from 2007 to 2013. Alex then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Sports and Exercise at Gateshead College from 2013 to 2015. Afterwards, they enrolled at Durham University from 2016 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sport, Exercise, and Physical Activity. Most recently, Alex completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Appalachian State University from 2018 to 2020.
