Maciek Dubinski

Maciek Dubinski has over 13 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Maciek started their career in 2007 as a Junior Web Developer at Ingenious Programmers, where they developed and maintained content management web applications using PHP5, SVN, HTML+CSS, and JS/Prototype. In the same year, they also worked as a Content Coordinator (temp) at Durrants. In 2008, they moved to Blacklabel as a Ruby Developer, where they designed, implemented, maintained, and optimized numerous Ruby on Rails web services. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Archer as a Senior Software Engineer and Ruby Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented modular Ruby based web applications, created decoupled reusable components, and maintained and iteratively developed a number of Ruby Rails/Rack customer web applications. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at Sabre Holdings as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed and maintained the backend of a large-scale Ruby system. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Boost Communications as a Senior Software Engineer, where they iteratively R&D'd a performant Data Management Platform, created a flexible segmentation engine to be used by both in-house and external messaging solutions, and led the design and implementation of a HA, scalable, distributed sms messaging platform. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Toptal as a Senior Back-end Developer, where they drove the design and implementation of a multi-component account management engine, and cooperated closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions adhering to the business needs of the organization. Finally, from 2018 to 2020, they worked at AirHelp as a Lead Developer/Architect, where they designed and led the transition to a micro-frontend based architecture of the back office system, grew an established, massive monolith Ruby app, improved runtime characteristics, maintainability and documentation along the way, and mentored fellow developers with code reviews and pair programming. Currently, they are working at Chattermill as a Backend Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer.

Maciek Dubinski obtained a Master of Science degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Jagiellonian University between 2004 and 2009.
