Cristy Irvin Phillips

Cristy Irvin Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Cristy began their career in 2006 as a Judicial Law Clerk to Hon. Richard M. Berman at the United States Courts. In 2007, they became an Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where they worked until 2010. During their time at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, they gained experience as a lawyer.

Phillips then moved to the U.S. Department of Justice in 2010, where they worked as an Assistant United States Attorney until 2018. From 2016 to 2018, they served as the Deputy Chief of the Civil Frauds Unit at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.

In 2019, Phillips joined Notable Finance as the General Counsel and later became a Partner at 1/0 Capital. At 1/0 Capital, they held the role of Deputy General Counsel and Head of Litigation.

Most recently, Phillips started working as the General Counsel of Check in 2020. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in law, litigation, and leadership roles.

Cristy Irvin Phillips began their education in 1997 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Cristy completed their Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honors in International Studies in 2001. Following this, from 2003 to 2006, they attended the New York University School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor degree.
